Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax filings and quarterly estimated tax payments.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure accuracy of financial data and compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with the management team to forecast budgets and improve profitability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of US tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
