As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, preparing monthly reports, and supporting our clients with complex financial analysis. We value integrity, analytical thinking, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with the audit team to provide requested documentation and support for annual external audits.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and tax compliance regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with strong time management skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
