Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Perform monthly and quarterly bank reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct audits and internal controls reviews to minimize risk and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with the finance team to forecast budgets and analyze variances.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) to automate and streamline reporting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions) and accounting software.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to stakeholders.
