Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and month-end closing procedures
- Conduct financial audits to ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and regulatory requirements
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Prepare tax filings and liaise with external auditors and tax authorities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in remote roles
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP/PivotTables)
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with remote teams and stakeholders
