Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger entries and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures, including reconciliation of bank accounts and credit cards.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets, in compliance with GAAP.
- Assist with the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure timely filings.
- Conduct budget analysis and provide insights to management for strategic decision-making.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.
- Maintain accurate fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- CPA or CMA certification is a significant plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of US tax laws and financial regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
