Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and local regulations.
- Assist clients with tax preparation, filing, and planning strategies for both state and federal tax returns.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance to ensure data accuracy.
- Conduct internal audits and financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities for clients.
- Communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders in a clear, professional manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or currently pursuing CPA licensure is a major plus.
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a remote or client-facing role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of US tax laws and financial regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
