Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage and reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments and invoicing.
- Assist with the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform internal audits and variance analysis to identify financial discrepancies and process improvements.
- Generate comprehensive financial reports for management and stakeholders.
- Maintain and organize financial documentation and digital records securely.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial staff.
