Responsibilities
- Oversee the full general ledger and ensure strict compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
- Execute month-end and year-end close procedures with precision and strict adherence to deadlines.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements for executive review and board meetings.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to optimize cash flow and vendor relationships.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and complex regulatory filings.
- Perform variance analysis to identify trends and provide actionable insights to management.
- Streamline accounting workflows and recommend process improvements for remote efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree or CPA certification is highly preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting setting.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macros).
- Software Skills: Familiarity with cloud-based ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage, or SAP) is a strong plus.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data clearly.
- Remote Readiness: Must have a dedicated home office environment and high-speed internet connection.
