Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger accounting activities and ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial data.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict compliance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely vendor payments and accurate customer invoicing.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax filings to ensure full regulatory compliance.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and assist with internal and external financial audits.
- Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support executive decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with a strong preference for remote work experience.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
