As a pivotal part of our finance department, you will ensure the accuracy of our financial reporting while maintaining strict compliance with all state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate, timely, and fully reconciled.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable, including reconciling bank statements and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Conduct internal audits and provide actionable recommendations for process improvements.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support executive decision-making.
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline workflows and enhance reporting structures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
