Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle payroll processing for a diverse workforce, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and review payroll reports, reconciling general ledger accounts related to payroll.
- Process payroll taxes, garnishments, and deductions in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, tax forms (W-2/W-4), and time-off balances.
- Collaborate with HR to resolve discrepancies in timekeeping and attendance data.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and data security standards for sensitive employee information.
- Assist in the annual audit preparation and year-end payroll tax filings.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's preferred).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably using ADP or Ceridian.
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements in Missouri and Illinois.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential) and payroll software.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts to non-finance staff.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive financial data.
