Job Description
In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time. You will work closely with the HR and Finance departments to maintain compliance with federal and state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for a diverse workforce using [Software Name].
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, taxes, and deductions.
- Handle payroll tax filings and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations (Indiana & Federal).
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries regarding pay stubs, direct deposits, and time off.
- Reconcile payroll reports and balance accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Assist in the onboarding process by setting up new employees in the payroll system.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Previous experience in a payroll or accounting role is a plus, but we will train the right candidate.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent numerical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential).
- Willingness to obtain relevant payroll certifications (we cover the cost).
