Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end payroll process for a diverse workforce, ensuring accuracy in bi-weekly and monthly cycles.
- Process wage calculations, tax withholdings, garnishments, and deductions in strict compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Utilize payroll software (ADP, UKG, or equivalent) to maintain up-to-date employee records and run reports.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data to identify discrepancies and rectify issues immediately.
- Prepare and distribute payroll-related documentation, including pay stubs, year-end W-2s, and tax forms.
- Collaborate with the HR and Finance teams to resolve complex payroll inquiries and ensure data integrity.
- Stay current on changes in labor laws and payroll tax legislation to ensure company compliance.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing, payroll administration, or a related accounting role.
- Proficient experience with major payroll platforms such as ADP Workforce Now, Paychex, or UKG Pro.
- Strong working knowledge of federal and Missouri state tax laws, labor regulations, and payroll compliance standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and macros are a plus).
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage large volumes of data accurately.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts to non-financial staff.
