Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for over 200 employees using ADP Workforce Now.
- Verify and approve timecards, ensuring accurate tracking of hours worked, overtime, and leave balances.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and prepare necessary month-end and year-end reports.
- Handle payroll tax filings, including state and federal quarterly and annual returns, ensuring full compliance with FLSA and local regulations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries regarding pay stubs, tax forms (W-2, W-4), and garnishments.
- Perform regular audits of payroll data to identify and rectify discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the HR and Finance departments to update employee information and benefit deductions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in payroll processing.
- Strong proficiency in payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or Ceridian) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- In-depth knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and FLSA requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proven track record of error-free data entry.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts to non-finance staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive employee data.
