We're seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic finance team in Scottsdale! As a key member of our organization, you'll ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for 500+ employees while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll using ADP Workforce Now, including garnishments, deductions, and bonuses
- Conduct payroll audits and reconcile discrepancies with HR and finance teams
- Prepare and file federal/state tax forms (941s, 940s, unemployment) and year-end reports (W-2s, 1099s)
- Manage time and attendance systems, resolving time-off and overtime issues
- Collaborate with HR on new hire onboarding and payroll-related terminations
- Implement process improvements using Excel macros and Power BI dashboards
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries within SLA timeframe
Qualifications
- 3+ years of US payroll processing experience with multi-state compliance
- ADP Workforce Now certification or equivalent HRIS expertise
- Proficient in Excel with VBA skills for automation
- Strong knowledge of FLSA, FICA, and state-specific labor laws
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- PHR/SPHR certification preferred
- Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance audits
