We are seeking a meticulous Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic finance team in Houston, TX. Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll accurately and efficiently using ADP Workforce Now
- Manage time and attendance data, including overtime calculations and leave tracking
- Ensure compliance with IRS regulations, FLSA, and state labor laws
- Prepare and submit payroll tax filings (Form 941, 940, state quarterly reports)
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Assist with year-end processing including W-2 distribution and 1099s
- Collaborate with HR on employee data changes and benefit deductions
Qualifications
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience with multi-state operations
- Proficiency in ADP or similar payroll software
- Deep knowledge of federal/state payroll tax regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification a plus
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
