Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll for 500+ employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Calculate and garnish wage deductions, tax withholdings, and benefit contributions
- Manage time and attendance systems, resolving discrepancies with department heads
- Prepare and file quarterly payroll tax returns (Form 941, 940, and state equivalents)
- Conduct payroll audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with labor laws
- Respond to payroll inquiries and resolve employee payment issues within 24 hours
- Generate payroll reports for finance and HR leadership teams
Qualifications
- 3+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience
- Proficient in ADP, Paychex, or equivalent payroll systems
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or SHRM-CP preferred
- Deep knowledge of CA labor laws and FLSA compliance
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP and pivot table expertise
- BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
