Responsibilities
- Process weekly and monthly payroll for over 500 employees using ADP Workforce Now.
- Ensure accurate tax filings, including federal, state, and local withholdings (e.g., California Franchise Tax Board).
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries with accuracy, empathy, and timely resolution.
- Prepare and reconcile payroll tax reports for internal audits and government submissions.
- Collaborate with HR to update compensation structures, bonuses, and commission calculations.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee and financial data.
- Stay updated on changes in labor laws and payroll regulations to ensure compliance.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency with payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or Gusto preferred).
- Strong understanding of FLSA, ACA, and California state labor laws.
- Excellent mathematical aptitude and exceptional attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, BambooHR).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
