Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly multi-state payroll for 500+ employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations including CA DIR reporting
- Manage garnishments, 401(k) deductions, and voluntary deductions with precision
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies in partnership with finance team
- Generate payroll reports for leadership and external auditors
- Coordinate year-end processing including W-2 distribution and 1099 filing
- Train HR staff on payroll procedures and system updates
Qualifications
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience with multi-state operations
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now or equivalent payroll software
- Strong understanding of FLSA, CA labor laws, and IRS regulations
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
