Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for 200+ employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Calculate and garnish wage deductions for taxes, benefits, and court orders
- Ensure compliance with FLSA, CA labor laws, and IRS regulations
- Manage year-end reporting including W-2s and 1099s
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries within 24 hours
- Collaborate with HR on new hire onboarding and terminations
- Audit timesheets and reconcile payroll accounts monthly
Qualifications
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience in California
- Proficiency with ADP or comparable payroll software
- Deep knowledge of federal/state tax laws and garnishment rules
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification a plus
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP and pivot tables
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder interactions
