Responsibilities
- Process and calculate payroll for a diverse workforce on a bi-weekly basis with 100% accuracy.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, including FLSA and tax regulations.
- Administer employee benefits enrollment, changes, and deductions (401k, health, dental).
- Resolve payroll discrepancies, investigate timekeeping errors, and communicate with staff regarding pay issues.
- Prepare and file monthly and quarterly payroll tax reports to state and federal authorities.
- Collaborate with the HR team to update employee records and maintain payroll data integrity.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in payroll processing or a related finance role.
- Proficiency with major payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Ceridian, or Workday).
- Strong working knowledge of payroll tax regulations, reporting requirements, and tax deposits.
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and data analysis abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills under tight deadlines.
