We are looking for a meticulous and organized Payroll Clerk to join the finance department at Apex Financial Solutions. Responsibilities
- Process and calculate payroll for all employees accurately and on a timely basis.
- Verify and input timekeeping data, including hours worked and overtime.
- Prepare and reconcile payroll reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and tax requirements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes related to payroll.
- Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records and personnel files.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, deductions, and tax forms.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in payroll processing or a related administrative role.
- Proficiency with payroll software (ADP, Paylocity, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
- Strong knowledge of FLSA regulations and tax compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
