We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Clerk to join our dynamic finance team in Denver, CO. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees while maintaining strict compliance with federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll using ADP or Paychex, ensuring accuracy in hours worked, overtime calculations, and pay rates.
- Prepare and distribute W-2s and 1099s accurately and on time for all eligible employees.
- Handle payroll tax filings and remittances for the state of Colorado and federal requirements.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, garnishments, and complex deductions promptly.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files in compliance with internal policies and privacy laws.
- Assist with month-end close processes and provide financial reporting related to payroll expenses.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
- Thorough knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws (FLSA, COBRA, Colorado Payroll Laws).
- Proficiency in payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or similar) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data with discretion.
