Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for over 200 employees using ADP and QuickBooks.
- Verify timesheets, calculate regular and overtime hours, and ensure accurate tax and benefit deductions.
- Prepare and distribute paystubs, direct deposit confirmations, and year-end tax documents (W-2s).
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay discrepancies, tax withholding, and time-off balances with empathy and accuracy.
- Reconcile payroll bank accounts and prepare monthly payroll variance reports for management.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end audits and tax filings.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee financial data.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in payroll processing, accounting, or a similar administrative role.
- Proficient in payroll software (ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong working knowledge of FLSA regulations, tax laws, and payroll compliance standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in a high-volume processing environment.
