Responsibilities
- Prepare and file individual, business, and trust tax returns with precision
- Conduct thorough tax research and provide compliance guidance
- Assist clients with IRS/state inquiries and audit support
- Maintain accurate client records using ProSystem fx and UltraTax
- Collaborate with senior staff on complex tax planning strategies
- Support year-end tax compliance for small business clients
- Participate in continuing education to maintain EA/CPA credentials
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Tax (Bachelor's preferred)
- 1+ years tax preparation experience (individual/business returns)
- Proficiency in Lacerte, ProSystem fx, or comparable tax software
- Current PTIN and active EA or CPA license
- Strong knowledge of IRS regulations and Louisiana tax codes
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills with diverse client populations
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
