Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual and business tax returns (Form 1040, 1120, 1065) with a high degree of accuracy and compliance.
- Communicate professionally with clients to gather necessary documentation and explain complex tax concepts clearly.
- Utilize industry-standard tax software (e.g., Lacerte, ProSeries, or TurboTax) to file returns electronically and ensure timely submission.
- Perform data entry, reconciliation, and maintenance of client financial records.
- Stay updated on federal and state tax regulations to ensure all filings adhere to the latest laws.
- Assist in tax planning strategies to help clients minimize liabilities and maximize refunds.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in tax preparation is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and familiarity with tax preparation software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be a resident of Arizona or willing to relocate to the Mesa area.
