Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual and small business tax returns (1040, 1120, etc.)
- Utilize ProSystem fx and Lacerte software for efficient tax processing
- Communicate complex tax concepts clearly to clients
- Conduct tax research using authoritative resources (IRS, Tax Analysts)
- Assist with IRS correspondence and audit support
- Maintain strict compliance with tax regulations and firm standards
- Collaborate with senior staff on complex tax scenarios
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- 1+ years tax preparation experience
- Active PTIN and valid Louisiana state license
- Proficiency in tax software (ProSystem fx, Lacerte, or similar)
- Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with Louisiana tax regulations
