We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-Time Payroll Specialist to join our finance team in Memphis, TN. Responsibilities
- Process and process bi-weekly payroll for all employees using [ADP/QuickBooks/Gusto] accurately and timely.
- Verify and audit timecards, leave requests, and garnishments to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Prepare and file monthly and quarterly payroll tax reports with state and federal agencies.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, deductions, and tax information in a professional manner.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare monthly payroll reports for management review.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee financial data.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing necessary payroll documentation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on payroll processing experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
- Proficient in payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or similar) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, formulas).
- Strong working knowledge of FLSA regulations, payroll tax laws, and state-specific payroll requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to detect errors before processing.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-service-oriented mindset.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
