Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of loan applications, including personal and commercial credit requests.
- Review and interpret financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow analysis to determine creditworthiness.
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessments for review by the lending committee.
- Monitor existing loan portfolios to identify early signs of financial distress or delinquency.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date credit files in the company's loan management system.
- Communicate findings and credit decisions clearly to internal stakeholders and clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or financial analysis (internships considered).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions like VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and data modeling.
- Deep understanding of credit risk principles, financial ratios, and lending regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies in data quickly.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
