Responsibilities
- Analyze Financial Data: Review and interpret financial statements, tax returns, and credit applications to assess the creditworthiness of potential borrowers.
- Risk Assessment: Evaluate loan applications against established credit policies and risk thresholds to minimize exposure.
- Credit Reporting: Generate comprehensive credit reports and present findings to the credit committee for final approval decisions.
- Portfolio Monitoring: Regularly monitor existing accounts to identify early signs of financial distress or deteriorating credit health.
- Compliance: Ensure all credit analysis activities adhere to local, state, and federal banking regulations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all credit files and analysis documentation within our CRM system.
- Client Communication: Interact with internal teams to clarify credit issues and provide recommendations on credit limit adjustments.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in credit analysis, risk assessment, or financial underwriting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel functions (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP), and credit scoring software.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to interpret complex financial data and identify trends or red flags.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Availability: Must be available to work a minimum of 20-25 hours per week with flexibility for occasional overtime or meetings.
