Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive analysis of loan applications and financial statements to determine creditworthiness.
- Assess borrower risk profiles and recommend approval, denial, or counter-offer strategies.
- Prepare detailed credit reports, including financial ratios, cash flow analysis, and collateral valuation.
- Monitor existing credit portfolios for early warning signs and delinquency trends.
- Collaborate closely with loan officers and underwriters to ensure accurate and compliant documentation.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and credit scoring models.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and financial modeling software.
- Strong understanding of credit scoring models (FICO, VantageScore) and risk assessment principles.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
