Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and cash flow projections to assess borrower creditworthiness
- Prepare detailed credit memos summarizing risk factors and lending recommendations
- Monitor existing loan portfolios for compliance and early risk identification
- Collaborate with loan officers to structure credit facilities aligned with client needs
- Stay current on industry regulations, economic trends, and credit policy updates
- Document credit analysis findings in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Participate in cross-departmental risk assessment initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 1-3 years of commercial credit analysis or underwriting experience
- Proficiency in financial modeling and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Strong understanding of financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow)
- Familiarity with credit scoring models and risk assessment frameworks
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication skills for presenting complex financial information
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
