Responsibilities
- Monitor, interpret, and implement changes in federal, state, and local laws and regulations affecting company operations.
- Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive compliance documentation, including manuals and training materials.
- Investigate potential compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions.
- Train staff on compliance standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports to government agencies and senior management.
- Collaborate with legal and operations teams to mitigate risk and ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a compliance, risk management, or auditing role.
- Strong knowledge of relevant compliance frameworks (e.g., SEC, FINRA, or state-specific regulations).
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex regulatory text.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional certifications such as CAMS, CFE, or JD/MBA preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a part-time capacity while managing multiple priorities.
