Responsibilities
- Manage Day-to-Day Transactions: Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all invoices are recorded accurately and payments are made on time.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Financial Reporting: Maintain the general ledger and assist in preparing monthly financial statements and balance sheets.
- Payroll Support: Assist with the processing of payroll for a small team of employees, ensuring tax withholdings are calculated correctly.
- Expense Tracking: Categorize and track business expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Client Communication: Liaise with clients to answer questions regarding their financial status and provide requested reports.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online or Xero is required.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and maintain data integrity in high-volume environments.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
