Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure data integrity.
- Maintain accurate general ledger records using QuickBooks Online or Xero.
- Prepare and send invoices to clients and collect payments in a timely manner.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes and financial reporting.
- Perform basic bookkeeping tasks such as expense categorization and payroll processing support.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role (2+ years preferred).
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or FreshBooks).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and formulas).
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and GAAP.
- Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
- Must be able to work independently and communicate effectively with clients.
