Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile monthly bank statements
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage vendor/client communications
- Prepare financial reports including profit/loss statements and balance sheets
- Assist with monthly payroll processing and tax document preparation
- Implement and maintain QuickBooks accounting systems for new clients
- Conduct periodic internal audits and ensure compliance with GAAP
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Pro
- Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and accounting software
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and tax regulations
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
