We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our growing finance team in the vibrant heart of San Francisco, CA. Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Transactions: Process accounts payable and accounts receivable with precision and timeliness.
- Bank Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure data accuracy.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger by performing monthly and quarterly close procedures.
- Compliance: Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Software Management: Utilize QuickBooks Online and Xero to manage financial data and generate reports.
- Client Support: Communicate effectively with clients regarding their financial inquiries and document requests.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience in a service-based or small business environment.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage Intacct is required.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting or Finance; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Skills: Strong working knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Flexibility: Ability to work part-time hours (approx. 20-25 hours/week) with the potential for occasional evening or weekend meetings.
