Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and financial records using QuickBooks Online
- Process accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Assist with payroll processing and tax form preparation (1099s, W-2s)
- Implement internal controls to ensure financial compliance
- Support clients during quarterly reviews and annual audits
- Train staff on accounting software best practices
Qualifications
- 3+ years bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks certification
- Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent professional experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, advanced functions)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and California tax regulations
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in fast-paced environment
- Experience with construction or retail accounting preferred
- Attention to detail with 99.9% accuracy in financial data
