Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Handle day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and accounts receivable for multiple clients.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
- Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing and tax preparation filings for small to medium-sized businesses.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports using QuickBooks or Xero.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger and ensure all journal entries are posted correctly.
- Expense Tracking: Review and categorize expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies and tax regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online or Xero.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) is required.
- Education: Associate degree or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and ability to detect errors in financial data.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
