Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Accurately record daily financial transactions and maintain the general ledger accounts.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure data accuracy.
- AP/AR Management: Process accounts payable and receivable invoices in a timely manner.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Payroll Support: Process payroll for small to medium-sized businesses, ensuring tax compliance.
- Compliance: Ensure all bookkeeping activities adhere to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and local regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or Xero is required.
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and discrepancies in financial data.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Integrity: High level of confidentiality and ethical standards when handling financial information.
