Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and perform monthly closing procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
- Process payroll for a small team, ensuring all deductions and tax filings are accurate and timely.
- Assist with annual budget preparation and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
