Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly.
- Process and record payroll transactions accurately.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including profit and loss statements.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and filing.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.
- Assist with budget tracking and expense management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role (1-2 years preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage).
- Strong knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
