Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial transactions including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger entries and journal entries.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes for multiple clients.
- Process payroll for small business clients using payroll software.
- Generate financial reports, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
- Ensure strict compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) is highly desirable.
