Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage vendor/client communications
- Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with quarterly/year-end closing
- Utilize QuickBooks for transaction entry and financial data analysis
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards
- Support payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements
- Implement internal controls to safeguard financial assets
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines with accuracy
- Strong understanding of GAAP and Nebraska tax regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Professional certification (e.g., CB) or working toward one
