Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Process invoices, track expenses, and manage vendor relationships.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain accurate general ledger records.
- Assist with payroll preparation and tax filings.
- Ensure compliance with local and federal financial regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or accountant (1-3 years minimum).
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or FreshBooks) and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and GAAP.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (optional for remote).
