Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Assist with payroll processing for small to medium-sized businesses.
- Perform monthly and quarterly bank reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and filing support.
- Assist in the month-end close process and variance analysis.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage) is required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent professional certification (CPA, CMA, or EA preferred).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
