Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll for multiple clients, ensuring timely and error-free disbursements.
- Maintain and update the general ledger using QuickBooks and/or Xero.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and balance sheets.
- Prepare and file monthly sales and use tax returns.
- Organize and archive financial documents and receipts for easy retrieval.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, or a related role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) is required.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to detect discrepancies in data.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
