Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain the general ledger, journal entries, and monthly financial reports.
- Assist with payroll processing and preparation of tax documentation.
- Monitor cash flow and ensure timely invoicing and collection.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks or Xero) to track financial data.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- 1-3 years of proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a part-time capacity.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
