What You Will Do:
Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile monthly bank statements and credit card accounts.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and timely.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and monthly reports.
- Maintain and organize digital and physical financial documents and ledgers.
- Support the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings.
- Process payroll for select clients, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Familiarity with local DC tax regulations and payroll laws.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
