Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process and assist with payroll for small to medium-sized businesses.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, trial balances, and general ledgers.
- Maintain accurate and organized digital and physical financial records.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding account status and discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role (1-3 years preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or FreshBooks required).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Must be available for a flexible schedule, typically 15-20 hours per week.
